Why Choose Dwain Burns?

Experience matters.

While many mediators may claim they can resolve your dispute, it’s essential to select someone with deep, relevant expertise—especially when your case involves motor vehicle accidents or accident benefits claims. A mediator with a strong background in these areas brings a nuanced understanding of the applicable laws, including thresholds and deductibles. The most effective mediators are those who have real-world litigation experience and insight into how judges, juries, and arbitrators evaluate and decide these cases.

With over 30 years of experience in civil litigation and insurance disputes, I bring a seasoned perspective to the table. I’ve spent more than 10 years managing a legal office for a major insurer and have over 40 reported decisions in insurance law. I’ve led numerous trials, arbitrations, and appeals as first chair, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. This well-rounded background gives me a unique ability to see all sides of a dispute.

Over 30 years of civil litigation experience.
